Dear Secret Self,
Somehow, I woke up knowing that today is going to be perfect. Somehow, I woke up knowing that what is said is true--for all the searching, and mistaken identity along the way, there has never been anything to find but you.
Somhow, today, I woke up and you were just there. Isn't it peculiar that what can never truly be lost can yet be so perfectly found?
What a funny creature you are; all that pretending to be helpless--what a ridiculous ruse! Adorable. What was so frightening about your own capability? For 39 years you had me fooled. For 39 years, I underestimated your capability. I'm sorry.
I don't think I'll make that mistake again.

You CAN have it ALL. As long as ALL means your biggest priorities in life -- the things that MATTER. Raising amazing children. Having an amazing marriage. Serving a community you love. And time to nurture and love yourself. It can all happen.

Dear Secret Self,
The more I talk to you, the less fearful you are to approach and the more unafraid and truly capable you show me that you are. Of course, by 'you' I mean 'me', which is the other secret you've been showing me, though, according to you, this is not a secret at all. Still, thank you, for everything

Dear Secret Self:
Just because it isn't happening instantly doesn't mean it eventually won't. You WILL find the balance, your hard work and devotion will pay off and that teacher you are looking for… bingo right where you weren't looking. So take off those sunglasses (even if they are prescription) and start gazing around at what you have. It is all there in front of you. Stop rushing past it and enjoy the moment. The answers lie in the exhales.
